Muscat International Airport is the arrival point for most visitors to Oman, and the first thing many need is a car. MAHD Car Rental runs a Meet & Greet service at the airport: our representative meets you in the arrivals area, completes the handover there, and you drive away without a shuttle bus or a queue at a rental desk. Our airport operation is based in South Mwaleh, Seeb, a few minutes from the terminal. Whether you are here for two days of meetings or three weeks of travelling, the same fleet is available — from small hatchbacks through to sedans and SUVs.

Driving from the Airport
The airport sits on the western side of the capital, which puts most of Muscat within an easy drive. Qurum and the main business districts are around twenty minutes east on the expressway. Muttrah, its corniche and souq are roughly thirty minutes. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is closer still, a short drive inland from the terminal.
The airport is also a natural starting point for the rest of the country. Nizwa and its fort are around ninety minutes inland, and the Wadi Shab turnoff on the coast road is about two hours south-east. Roads are well signposted in Arabic and English, and fuel is inexpensive by regional standards.
Where exactly do I meet your representative at the airport?
Our representative meets you in the arrivals area after you clear customs. We confirm the meeting point and a contact number with you before your arrival date, and we track flight times so a delay does not cost you the booking.
What happens if my flight lands late at night or is delayed?
Share your flight number when you book and we will follow it. If the flight is delayed, our representative adjusts to the new arrival time. Late-night arrivals are fine — just make sure the flight number is on the reservation.
Can I return the car to the airport when I fly out?
Yes. Airport returns are handled the same way as collection. Agree the return time with us, allow enough margin before your check-in, and our representative will take the vehicle at the terminal.
Is airport collection more expensive than the branch?
Any airport-related charge is shown in your quoted total before you confirm. We do not add fees at handover, so the price you see when booking is the price you pay.
Can someone else collect the car on my behalf?
The main driver named on the reservation must be present at handover with their licence and identification, because the rental agreement is signed at that point. Additional drivers can be added to the contract if they are present with their own documents.
